Dan DiMaria - Village President - Is currently finishing his second term as a Village Trustee. Before that he served as Village clerk, and a member of the Appearance Commission. Dan is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, and is currently a member of the Chicago Board of trade. He owned and operated a local business for 15 years and was the vice president of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce. Dan and his wife, Melodee have five children, and are members of St. Martha Parish. Dan serves on the board of the Morton Grove Foundation and Camp Independence, an organization that helps children with spina bifida.

Ed Ramos - Village Clerk - A Morton Grove resident since 1979, Ramos is an active member and advisor of the Fil-Am Organization of Morton Grove, which has a membership of more than 400 families.  He is very active at St. Martha’s Parish, and is a former member of the Village’s Plan Commission/Zoning Board.  Ramos, an accountant, currently serves as a member of the Finance Commission.  Ramos has a degree in Business from Jose Rizal University in Manila, Philippines. He and his wife Rebecca, an RN, have raised their two children in Morton Grove.

Bill Grear - Trustee - Grear, currently serving as a Trustee, is proud that the Action Party trustees think for themselves and vote their conscience, always putting the best interests of Morton Grove first.  Grear was the President of the Action Party from 2005-2009.  Grear, a life-long resident of Morton Grove , is a member of a large family of 10. Bill and his wife, Janice, have three adult children.

Tony S. Kalogerakos - Trustee - Kalogerakos currently serves as Village Clerk.  Kalogerakos is an attorney in private practice with offices in both Chicago and Lincolnwood.  He is a graduate of Loyola University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  Kalogerakos is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Cook County Bar Association, and Hellenic Bar Association.  He has lived in Morton Grove since 2005, and is married to Ramina.

John Pietron - Trustee - Pietron is no stranger to Village government, having served as a commissioner on the Appearance Commission and as Chairperson of the Economic Development Commission.   He is a former Board Member of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  Pietron has also served in various positions with the REALTORS® Association of NorthWest Chicagoland. Pietron is a 36-year resident of the Village with his wife, Jan.

Action Party Leadership has brought about these accomplishments in our town:

98% of households participated in the Electrical Aggregation program. Each household will save about $349 a year. The annual estimated total community-wide savings is $2,620,000

82 new businesses opened in Morton Grove since January of 2010

A two-story assisted living facility opened at Bethany Terrace Nursing Home

North Grove Manor, an assisted living facility specializing in Alzheimer’s and Memory Care, opened on Lincoln Avenue

The Homestead of Morton Grove , an independent 82-unit senior living facility in the Lehigh/Ferris TIF district, opened its doors

Culver’s opened in the shopping center at Dempster & Harlem

Apex Kitchen & Bath opened a newly-remodeled showroom on Waukegan Road

Fear City, a new “hauntertainment” business opened to rave reviews
An expanded Pequod’s is coming to the Lehigh/Ferris TIF district
New water mains were installed on Dempster Street and Ferris Avenue
Dempster Street was improved from Harms Road to Lehigh Avenue
Lincoln/Ferris Avenue streetscape was installed
A new 112-space commuter parking lot was constructed on Chestnut Street

A new Water Billing statement was created in response to residents’ requests for better information

24-hour access is now available for residents to purchase or renew vehicle stickers and pet licenses through the Village’s website
An overhead sewer assistance program was developed to help residents
METRA parking machines were updated to accept credit cards. The Village also created a process to quickly resolve ticket disputes due to simple keypad errors

The Village’s Sign Code was revamped with a streamlined sign review and approval process

A village-wide water meter change-out and installation of a radio read system was completed

The Village supported and assisted the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market, organized by local volunteers

$25,000+ in financial assistance has been provided for residents in crisis each year since 2010

The transition to the Glenview Public Safety Dispatch Center for 911 calls will improve service and provide a significant savings to the Village

The public-private partnership between the Village and the North Shore Senior Center continues to expand services for Seniors within our Village

The Village’s bond rating improved from Moody’s AA3 to Standard & Poor’s AA

Action Party Leadership has a proven track record that has moved Morton Grove forward during one of the toughest economic times ever in our nation’s history.
